all nighter.

sketching under candlelight at two am.

in flowers + in leaves.

the title of a song I once composed in the piano a couple years ago, and then i forgot. i have a recording of it somewhere. 

i combined a scan of one of my film stills with a digital self-portrait outtake from almost a year ago. it was just a digital sketch i never turned to a painting, so i decided to let it be on its own. 

finished a painting today. which I actually finished a couple days ago before I destroyed it (and had to start again…) I also have another improvised easel, made with a wall shelf for frames + a wood panel/pending painting as the long back piece that makes the backwards “T”.

another accidental screenshot. who would ever guess typos and digital errors are the compositions for my future work.

commissioned a freestyle, open-to-interpretation, collage painting for Writer’s Bloq. check it out (pg.115)

The painting is untitled, and for the first time I use someone else’s photography (not just mine). A special thanks to my friend Miguel Angel Jimenez, who kindly let me use some of his film photos from the series Postamerican Youth. Those images were incorporated with some of my personal fisheye film photos, and because both are scanned film, they blend well together.
